Christmas time with some jazzy melancholy

Christmas time is right behind the corner and Iโ€™ve been in need of something fresh, new and non-conventional in terms of Christmas songs.

Hiatus Kate comes to the rescue as always with a bit of a misty and silvery christmas single. Melancholic, with just the right touch of nostalgia, it is a truly beautiful christmas track to put on, whenever you get the need to blur into the soft and warm, yet snowy spirit.

The voice of Nai enters fresh and cold, almost like the winter wind trying to snugg into the room whenever we open the door. This sensation of an icy and shimmering sound is later on warmed up by the soothing piano and chorus joining the vocals.

Now only is the track a beautiful piece, but it is also a gift to the Salvation Army Christmas Appeal – to which the band donates the income from the record.

A truly Hiatus Kaiyote way of dealing with the Christmas spirit.
