Don’t Shoot Me Santa: An X-Mas hymn for grown out boys who haven’t been so good
The Killers | Don't Shoot me Santa
7 December 2021
Ahh Christmas time is approaching and it stirs up so many fond memories from my childhood and young adulthood. Rainy days, drinking hot chocolate by the fireplace, decorating the Christmas tree, baking cookies, and of course listening to classic Christmas tracks back when tapes and CDs were a thing. Oh, and let’s not forget Dad’s and Mum’s warnings that Santa will gift us only if we were nice throughout the year–and this was the mere and only condition we were allowed to write a letter to this imaginary red and white fuzzy, fat human. Itโs the sound of Windows (and Apple): When software sounds get orchestrated
Rainer Hersch | The Waltz-Windows Orchestra

While I believeย music and comedy donโt really mesh–many times the result is just tacky or moronic, there are some folks that prove music with a comedy twist can make a really nice and quality duo.ย When I accidentally came across British musician and comedian Rainer Hersch (thanks to my YT recommendations) and listened to a couple of his orchestrated works, I had an โAhaโ moment. 22 July 2021
When it comes to my taste in rock music, Iโm all about vinyl classics or totally spicy and alternative tracks–nothing in-between and nothing too hard or pretentious. And Alice Cooper certainly never disappoints (at least thus far) when it gets to offering rock fans a mixture of classic 70s and 80s rock with a twist.ย His latest album, released back in Feb 2021, โDetroit Storiesโ is just that. A luminous marriage of classic 70โs rock-n-roll, 80s metal, shock rock and some subtle jazzy, electronics, and blues influences. As itโs obvious by the title, the entire album pays homage to his
