Born Samir Libari, Chico Loco 40 is the Founder and CEO of CL40 World, an independent music movement blending Alternative Dark, Rap, Drill, Trap, Psycho Rock, and Dark Pop into a cinematic street-driven sound.
His journey began in Tangier in 2014 after years of personal struggle and loss. Between 2019 and 2023, incarceration became a turning point that helped shape the foundation of the CL40 World Syndicate and its independent vision.
Despite recent platform censorship issues in 2026, including frozen analytics and blocked visibility across major platforms, Chico Loco 40 responded by strategically moving his catalog operations to UnitedMasters NYC while continuing to grow internationally.
Today, he has reached the Top 1.25 million artists globally with playlist exposure exceeding 180,000 listeners, with the United States ranking as his top streaming territory. His work and presence have also appeared on EverybodyWiki, NAS, and Freim TV.
With “CARA TAPADA,” Chico Loco 40 delivers another dark, intense, and unapologetic record that reflects survival, independence, and creative control in today’s music industry.
