Anna Grace Henny who appeared on the Inspiration Liverpool project (http://inspirationliverpool.co.uk/anna-grace-henney/) is bringing back Hope Fest, the Liverpool music festival in aid of the homeless, for 2015.
Following the success of last year’s five venue three day festival where some 80 bands played, Hope Fest is back and bigger than ever. In aid of Merseyside’s homeless, this year is set to be huge with 15 confirmed venues so far as well as a new partnership with The Big Issue In The North , The Whitechapel Centre and The Basement Advisory Centre.
The beauty of this festival is that the entrance fee is not monetary but instead festival goers will be asked to donate a ‘Hope Pack’ made up of essentials such as food and clothing which will be passed on directly to Liverpool’s homeless via Hope Fest’s partners. Donating a ‘Hope Pack’ will give you access to all 15 venues over the weekend.
New for this year, Hope Fest is running training programmes and work experience positions for those affected by homelessness. These roles include everything from Stage Management to Admin.
Hundreds of bands have applied to play, and successful acts are being notified over the next few weeks. Some of the bands confirmed so far include Alan McGee’s new protégés Alias kid – who are currently touring with Black Grape – as wells Beatnik Hurricane (feat ex-La’s Barry Sutton and Cammy).
More bands including some very special headliners will be announced over the coming weeks.
